Roy W. Freeman Jr. is a retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant, highly decorated combat veteran, visionary entrepreneur, strategic innovator, elite investor, trader, and philanthropist.
As Founder and Executive Chairman of The Roy Freeman Company—and the master architect of the multi-generational Freeman Empire—he commands a sophisticated family enterprise engineered for centuries of dominance, prosperity, and positive social impact.
Roy’s journey began with extraordinary promise and relentless drive. A standout at West Lincoln High School, he graduated with honors and Beta Club as a Lindy Callahan Scholar Athlete Nominee, earned induction into the school’s Hall of Fame, and was the recipient of many high school football awards and scholarships. Instead of directly pursuing higher education after high school, he joined the U.S. Army the summer before his senior year of high school following the 9/11 attacks.
Roy is the graduate of multiple military schools and leadership academies, in addition to holding multiple professional certifications (i.e. current ServSafe: Food Protection Manager #23031635, former NREMT), regulatory licenses, and is a Notary Public in Mississippi through Flamsal Notary LLC.
He pursued higher education at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Jones College, The University of Alabama, and Columbia Southern University while actively serving in the military and building his entrepreneurial foundation.
Today, he is pursuing an Associate of Science in Business from Columbia Southern University (anticipated coursework completion in June 2026 with graduation in October 2026), laying the groundwork for a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance), Master of Business Administration (Finance), and Doctor of Business Administration (Business Management).

At age 17—before even finishing high school—Roy enlisted in the United States Army, embarking on nearly two decades of distinguished service that forged him into an unbreakable leader.
Serving as an infantry combat medic under the Second Marine Expeditionary Force, senior IT non-commissioned officer, and operations NCO, he deployed on two combat tours (2004-2006, 2009-2010) to the Triangle of Death Region of Iraq during the Iraq War, leading teams through intense operations and under direct enemy fire.
His valor and performance earned him a chest full of elite decorations: the Combat Medical Badge (a honor for medics in combat), the Army Commendation Medal, four Army Achievement Medals, the Navy Unit Commendation and Army Meritorious Unit Commendation for his unit’s excellence, along with multiple campaign and service medals.
Retiring in 2018 as a battle-tested Staff Sergeant, Roy carried forward the same precision, discipline, and fearlessness that defined his military career into every civilian endeavor.
After retirement, Roy founded Flamsal Group LLC in 2019 (originally Dixy Co. LLC), which grew into a nationwide registered agent and mail scanning powerhouse.
This seed evolved into the Freeman Empire: a fortress of entities including Ashley & Roy LLC (the family’s private household powerhouse), ARFFO LLC (the Wyoming-domiciled single-family office managing diversified global holdings, venture stakes, algorithmic trading, IP vehicles), Freeman HoldCo LLC, Freeman PFTC LLC, a constellation of operating companies and REITs under The Roy Freeman Company, and philanthropic foundations and non-profit organizations.
